Herbal Tea –
Flowers with medicinal properties can easily be used to make a brew. One can use fresh flowers or dry the petals to use them later.
Some of the flowers that lend to this use are rose, marigold and chamomile. Each flower has different properties of course.
- Marigold tea is said to heal ulcers and tumors, reduce fever and anti-inflammatory.
- Rose tea has a host of benefits owing to its high vitamin C, antioxidant and phenol content. It helps with arthritis, menstrual discomfort, respiratory issues, sleep disorders, etc.
- Chamomile tea is of course the most popular, beneficial for immunity, diabetes, sleep disorders, stress, etc.
- Tulsi leaves too can be brewed either in plain water or as an addition to regular ‘chai’ tea.
